ITC Royal Bengal Buffect-Grand Market Pavilion review

The name is enough for this review. visited this place yesterday with office colleagues and it was a team dinner. Whenever we hear ITC, it immediately reminds us of their popular wide range of multi cuisine chain restaurants like Peshwari, PanAsian and Eden Pavilion from ITC Sonar. Based solely on their hard work and premium standard quality food and service, these places have won a lot of hearts in the City of Joy since many years now.

ITC has never disappointed the people of Kolkata neither has the Kolkatans disheartened ITC and premium range of restaurants. To take this love story further, ITC Group has recently opened ITC Royal Bengal. Kolkatans were eagerly waiting for the opening of ITC Royal Bengal since a very long time. Decorations are awsome , just have some glimpse of them:

The GrandMarket Pavilion will surely win our hearts by its wide range of delicacies. As soon as you enter the place it will give you a royal feel. Everyone loves to enjoy having good food in a good environment. The amazing experience matters a lot. Grand Market Pavilion is all about great food and amazing ambiance.

As the word 'ROYAL' sits at center of the name of this hotel, its restaurant has to be a royal one :)

And yeah truly it is so, the outlet was also in my bucket list to visit. Literally fell for it's so largely spread #Buffet! Cost only 1475 including all taxes.
The GrandMarket Pavilion is situated inside the ITC Royal Bengal. And it truly gives you a grand and Royal feeling!
It's always a grand foodie affair with ITC especially when there's an introductory offer buffet which would cost you just ₹1475/- and what's the icing on the cake? The price is inclusive of all taxes. Every inch, every corner of this ITC Royal Bengal speaks Royalty. So, we were lucky enough to somehow manage to book a reservation during the Lunch. Getting into this huge property is a big deal if you rather try to reserve it. Reservation is a big deal. You should be making a reservation at least 5 days prior visiting the place. But finally, I visited the place with my colleagues to try out their gala buffet.

The corridor and the main entrance part was beautifully decorated with paintings and show pieces representing the various theme and art style of Bengal. Inside the restaurant the lights were dimly glowing making it perfect for a classy family dining experience.

Now coming to the main part, I would like to say that truly it is a royal luxurious and mesmerizing place for lunch or dinning out. The long way of entrance after that very well decorated inner area make you feel rich and sophisticated.

The walls the floor indoor decors the freshly placed flowers all take a boon every time to give you a warmly feelings. All the staircases the floor is marbled. Also, the chandelier that's hanging is an attracting one. Neat and clean ambiance and the royalty and warmth is surely enjoyable.

Coming to the buffet system first I would mention that all items served are uncountable.
Starting from the salad then starter and main course many items were there that it is impossible to taste all if those. It was really a tough challenge to cover all the areas and try everything out.

All food sections are categorized into many parts:

First I have shown here some items that were available there:

In starter not so many items were there still the fish item, chicken kebab was very nice. In the main course the biriyani was palatable along with the mutton kosha. There were pork, duck and prawns but I did not opt for those as the prawn preparation seemed too much spicy for me.

There many mutton items which are quite good in taste.

The spread covers Tibetan, Italian, North Eastern, Bengali, American, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, North Indian Delicacies and what not! Other than these, they also have Live Stations where you can customize your choice of food and give them your table number to have our favorite delivered to you at your Table!

There are huge ranges and varieties of green boiled vegetables and fruit salads. I have tried some of them which are very good in taste and there is a must try pineapple juice shots.

They have an add on espresso counter as well where you can fill your cup and enjoy some hot beverages!

Eating these starters over an hour long Adda made us full so we could not have too much main course.
In ITC you will surely get a great satisfaction having their variety of dessert items. What was not there!!!!

From baked Rasogolla, Sandesh, makha Sandesh, Rasmalai to mango pulp and pastry of different kinds along with lip smacking laddu and misti doi each item was available at the counter...they served almost 8 types of ice cream. I really loved that.
The staffs were attending us; they were cordial well behaved and concerned staffs were there to look for minute details of your wants or wishes.

What I ate is here ;)

Not to mention the hotel itself is a place to visit for and go as usual click-click-click!

Overall the royal vibe, royal food and luxury pleased me very much. All the items which we tried out here in Starters, Main course and Desserts Section were amazing and excellent, it was a grand buffet affair. The service of the place was really prompt and they take special care of each of their customer. It is a little bit costly but for a luxurious lavish lunch ITC is a perfect enjoyment. Overall my experience had been magical and memorable one. Highly Recommended place to everyone! Please give this place a visit for sure. It would be hard to miss out in visiting the Grand place for sure. I hope they maintain these standards and keep the price affordable. can't wait to visit the place soon yet again!
