Hand Made Water Fountain

General Idea:

I have made this hand made water fountain few months back. I will make another one for step by step demo video on how to make such awesome works easily at home with unused products of our house hold. When you are thinking about enhancing the style and comfort of your outdoor living space or table top space, consider adding a fountain as one of the top lists. This water feature is surely irresistible to improve the enjoyment of the backyard, front yard, garden, or any outdoor space, table top. The idea of building or installing a water fountain is never a bad thought moreover when it's built by yourself, it feels good too :)

What you need :

For this one specially I have used, One time usable plastic water bottles , three used small sized ceramic matka/pots(terra cotta), thermocol (Polystyrene) ,roller bandage ,a plastic tray(cost 85rs from local market) small plastic pipe and cement only. And one more thing that we need to buy for this art work is A good quality water pump cost around 200-250 rs online. Total cost around 350-400 and my dedications ;) :P

The Steps you can follow :

Step - 1

There are hundreds of water fountain design you could easily find on the internet. They are made of various materials with various attractive looks. You can always choose the one which suits your taste and matches with the style of your passion, pond, or garden.

At first I some how managed a medium size of thermocol piece (actually from my DTH bpx-pack ;) ) to use it as a base. Then gradually think how to give it a cool shape and after few hours I randomly place a 2lt 7 up bottle above the thermocol piece after placing a whole in it's bottom to place the small pipe into it. With  Pidilite M Seal you need to water proofing the pipe attached section to avoid any unwanted water drop. After that fixed that thing with cement (advised to use gloves for this). then let it dry for hours. 

Step - 2

On next day, I cut another 2lt plastic bottle from its neck to place the another clay pot (terra cotta )over it before that made a small hole into it with the help of small tiny hammer. Like before fixed the whole thing above the thermocol with cement and let it dry for few hours. Got  totally exhausted by that time :P .

Step - 3

Lastly place a small tiny clay pot( half broken actually-  to give it different look) like same wise. Dry it for 1 full day.

Step - 4

After one day, started to color it, and for that I choose black as i thought it's  suit it the most with 12,16,8 size paint brush.

And finally hard work pays. In the last step, what I need to do is that just place the water pump in the pipe end and plug in the socket to main line.

To make it more attractive and colorful , I added some colored pebbles into this fountain , as you can see after adding those it's look so beautiful .

It'll be more beautiful if you place a small gold rice light with it at night in your drawing room or gardens.

Warnings:

•  Make sure you have enough water in the fountain when you turn on the pump and that you occasionally refill the fountain. The pump running dry will cause damage to the pump.
• Make sure that there is enough room in the water storage area to hold all the water the pump is circulating; in case the pump is unplugged.
• Keep the area around the fountain clear of objects vulnerable to water damage.
